What a weekend!
Overall, it was a fun weekend with the Poodle Club of San Antonio playing one of my dog's favorite games FastCat. I will say I was a little surprised in the lack of poodles at the event... Anyways I got the La Quinta Friday with Bear and all I am going to say about that is that it definitely didn't hold the standard.
Saturday
Saturday we were greeted with a dewy morning, heavy mist it was ruff as far as taking photos (If I could have any superpower, it would be to control the weather). The dogs LOVED the weather though and boy did the dirt fly in that catch pen! The dogs gave it all for the trash bunny, the catchpen had haybales where they could drive the rabbit into for those harder to catch dogs and some followed the bag right in it was rather comical watching them try to back out of the situation, they found themselves in. I took some photos from that vantage point and am quite pleased with the angle. The day ended with sunshine, so the day wasn't a total flop but boy did I need a shower (the dirt stuck in my ear was narly).
Sunday
This was probably the best day of the event as far as weather goes. The sun was shining though the wind made it a little chilly. The dogs and dirt flew again but I wised up and stayed perched on the haybales and was definitely rewarded.
Editing
As I go through the photos Sat photos definitely leave much to be desired but there was nothing, I could do about the weather it's just part of outdoor dog sports. Sun photos are much better but still could be better it's a lighting issue just didn't allow my camera to get those crispy faces I like, but I do like is this silhouette look they have it really shows of the shape and muscular form of the dogs and the dust adds a nice touch.
Overall I had a good weekend and look forward to my next adventure!
